Yes life’s little annoyances but nothing worse when they all come at the same time. That’s exactly what has happened to me this evening and hasn’t put me in the best mood.

Ok finish work at 6PM, my day at work was an average day’s work, nothing to write home about. Got outside and it was absolutely pissing it down! Great I have to cycle home in this; I knew I was going to get soaked. So I set off and sure enough I was wet through within minutes. Another couple of minutes down the road my back tire goes flat real quickly. I’m shouting out “You’re fucking kidding me!” I couldn’t believe it I had got a puncture, as I knew I would be walking the rest of the way.

So I’m walking along in the rain in very uncomfortable shoes, not ideal for walking in, and it’s another two miles into York city centre. “Oh what’s this? A bus shelter!” Ok I’ll wait for a bus to take me into town. I wait ten minutes and the bus comes along and stops. As I’m about to board the bus the bus driver says “Sorry you can’t bring that on here, we are not allowed them on the bus”. So I have no choice I’m walking into the city centre whether I like it or not.
I finally get to the train station and by the looks of it I had just missed a train for Leeds so I had to wait thirty five minutes for the next train. I’m wet and cold and having to wait for a train freezing my bollocks off.

I finally arrive at Leeds get off the train and prepare myself for another two mile hike home. No point me trying to get on the bus with my bike because I’ll be told to get lost again.

Pretty much it, I’m back home now, wet, cold and my feet are killing me. I think I’ll jump in the bath and chill out.

Tomorrow I now go to go out and get a puncture repair kit. While I’m out I might as well get a new back tire as it’s worn out. Also get some new back and front brake pads as they are not working as well as they should.
