Turn off and get out.

I spend a lot of time sat behind the computer, well I get a lot of people tell me just turn off your computer and go out. Yes that is true and recently I have really felt the need to go out. I don’t know why but I just don’t like staying in as much as I did. I would rather go out just walk about and see what’s going on in the world.

Well last night I just did that. It was late and I walked most of the way around York. Anyway I ended up at the train station. Ummm where can I go?? Well train for Leeds for boarding, jumped on, on my way to Leeds. So did I round trip to Leeds and back. There was no ticket inspector on so I ended up getting a free ride :)

More to Life?

I was walking around York the other day and this sign caught my attention:

More to Life?

I find it slightly amusing that in most cases it’s so true, well I suppose it’s how you interpret it.

Old man gets up and dances

Other day in York there was live entertainment on in the city centre. Anyway I thought I’d stay, watch and listen. Anyway while everyone was setting up this old man came too and at first I thought he had problems in his head as he was talking to himself and was saying random things to everyone. Well anyway the first act on the live entertainment was some DJ’s and I must admit the tunes they were playing were very good. Well this old man who has a walking stick just gets up and starts dancing away. I got a short clip of him dancing on my mobile so take a look :)

Become Emo?

Out and about in York today. Just something to laugh about a song came to my head, Lonely by Akon. Well anyway I was singing it in my head thinking nothing about it when another thought came into my head; maybe I should become an Emo. Well straight away I dismissed the thought and told myself to stop moaning about being alone. Life is going good right now for me there is no reason to spoil it with feeling down. Consider myself told off.

Free Pizza

Well thought I’d go to pizza hut for my dinner today. They do great pizzas but there is one thing that lets them down. That’s that the tables always feel grubby and sticky. It’s a 10 second job for them just to wipe a table properly when a customer leaves, is that so hard? But why am I complaining because whenever I seem to order a medium pizza they ether get the order wrong and send out a large or they never have medium bases in so they give a large one for no extra cost.

Dentist

Well today has been productive, NOT!! Took day off from work to go to dentist that has been set for the last year. Well I get in and say that I have arrived to the receptionist I get a dirty look and I’m sorry but Dr McCormack isn’t in today. Well I’ve had to rebook for another day. Been kind of a depressing day, I even witnessed a funeral while I was sat outside Selby Abby.

Anyway I’m back in York now and I’m looking round town to pass the time. Might take buss up to Clifton Moore and take a look around Comet and Currys to look at their laptops as university for me it isn’t far away for me and need a laptop for university. Well ok not need but it’s a matter of want :p

Looking out over the river

So ok I lied I didn’t go home just yet. I decided to go for a walk around York. I’m now sat on the bank of the river looking out over the river. My legs are killing me which I’ll explain why at another date.

While sat here I’m amazed at the amount of interesting sounds all around me. Lots of laughter, crying, shouting, a whole array of foreign languages, geese, sounds of footsteps, traffic and sirens. I could go on but I think you get the idea.

I’m having a starring match with a goose on the river. It’s looking right at me, sizing me up. I kind of feel uncomfortable by it. I think it’s time I moved on. I do like it here though it’s very relaxing.

Sat on a bench

Ok so here I’m sat on a bench in the middle off York at 19:37 thinking what the fuck am I doing here?? I can’t believe I let someone talk me into telling me I got to get out more to meet new people. But I’m on my own as I have no friends to come out with me and it’s not easy meeting new people on your own. I bet I look like a right looser here watching every one walk on by. Whether it is that they going off in bars and clubs to get pissed for the night or just going home after a long days shopping….

Maybe one of these days Ill stop being so pathetic and have the balls to just ask someone to go for a few drinks with me. If you live in York and fancy going for a few drinks one Friday or Saturday night let me know.

That’s enough now I’m walking back home…
